Join us for an introduction to lacrosse!
These clinics are designed to introduce youth to the sport of lacrosse, provide free equipment, and make learning the game fun and accessible. For those unfamiliar, lacrosse is a fast-paced sport that combines elements of hockey, soccer, and basketball. It originated as a Native American game called the Creator’s Game, and we honor its rich history every time we play.
At each session, participants will:
Learn the Basics: We’ll teach you how to hold the stick, pass, catch, and shoot the ball—all the fundamental skills you need to start playing.
Try Speed Lacrosse: A fast and simple version of the game, speed lacrosse is played without heavy protective equipment and feels a lot like basketball—but with a lacrosse stick!
No Equipment Needed! The Norman Lacrosse Club will provide sticks and all necessary gear for participants to use during the sessions.
Whether you’re a natural athlete or just curious to try something new, these clinics make it easy to jump in and mimic the basic moves. They’re perfect for anyone looking to learn a new sport and have fun doing it. Come See What Lacrosse is All About!
